Caroline County Bird Club's Fall 2024 schedule

We are looking forward to a fun Fall of 2024 - please join us!  And keep checking back for updates -

If you would like to become a member or need to renew, the Maryland Ornithological Society’s dues plus our $5 local dues are:  Individual $25.00; Household $30.00.  With  your membership, you will also receive the MOS newsletter, THE YELLOWTHROAT.  For those age 18 or younger, the cost is only $10.00. You can  register or renew your  membership online at the MOS website https://mdbirds.org/join/. At the website, you will be able to choose the Caroline County Chapter as your local chapter.


Saturday, August 24, 2024: Pot Luck and  Bird Walk at Camp Mardela, 10:30 am – 1:30 pm.301 Deep Shore Road, Denton (just before you get to Martinak State Park).

The pavilion is on the left hand side as you are going down the lane before you get to the

main campus area.  Club Treasurer Robin Lahnemann will be prepared to take membership payments for

the year for those who don’t want to pay online.

Sunday, Sept 29  2024 Field Trip. Bird Banding observation at Foreman’s Branch Bird Observatory.

Sunday, Oct 13, 2024.  Caroline’s Big SitLocation:  Adkins Arboretum’s Wetlands Overlook near the Visitors Center. Will run from 7:30 am

to early evening for some owling. Dress comfortably, bring your binoculars, a chair to sit on, food and drink.  


Saturday, Oct 19, 2024. Program.  9 am Presenter: Dona Sorce, Delmarva Wild Ones. https://wildones.org/about/ Mission:  Wild Ones promotes native landscapes through education, advocacy and collaborative action.
